British researchers say they have made “significant breakthroughs” in developing a vaccine against the coronavirus, reports Sky News.
The leader of the research team, Professor Robin Shattock at Imperial College London, states that their efforts have reduced parts of the normal development time of the vaccine “from two to three years to just 14 days”

The vaccine should be ready for testing on animals as early as next week, and studies on humans can begin this summer if sufficient funding can be secured.
